Event driven application programing   (Iceland)

Hi,

We have been looking at the Config Data store API and must say that i am quit impressed by the value of the API. One thing that bothers me is that all the activity is done by polling.

Is there a way to subscribe to various events such as, UserStatusChanged in the userphonebook, ActiveCallsViewChanged in the Admin Proxy
I’m I looking at the wrong API or is this just not implemented. ?

We want our applications to be Swyx aware, that is I would like my application to look at the users phonebook and get the availability of the users in his phonebook. But I don’t want my application to poll this information ever n seconds.

I would on the other hand like the server to point out to me that new information.

  9. Within the project forums english language is mandatory.
