P250 Handset not working with 2011 R2 on Win 7 x64  (Germany)

Hello everybody,

today we did the update on every client mashine to SwyxIt 2011 R2. All Systems are Win 7 x86 und x64, all Pro or Enterprise, all german. On one PC (Win 7 x64, Pro), the P250 does not work with SwyxIt 2011 R2, I have tried the english and german version. The strange thing is, that the Handset works on the same PC with SwyxIt 2011 und it is shown in the audio control panel. Even using it for standard sound output (Windows sounds, Internetradio etc.) works. There is no reaction of SwyxIt 2011 R2 on hook up or disconnecting the P250 during running SwyxIt. Also it is not listed in the SwyxIt 2011 R2s "audio-modes" (the new option, you know), there is no audio output from SwyxIt 2011 R2 to the P250 at all.

Hopefully someone can help me with this problem.

Kind regards

     Timo Gerlach

Hi,

first I would clean up the USB device drivers on the computer. Disconnect the P250 and use a tool like "UsbDeviceClear.exe" (available from Swyx Support) or USBDeview (www.nirsoft.net/utils/usb_devices_view.html) to remove all unused/disconnected USB devices. Then start SwyxIt! again and reconnect your P250.

To track down the problem you should enable the SwyxIt! Tracing  (REG file from SwyxIt! Program folder). When SwyxIt! starts or a P250 is plugged in, problems with the device will be logged in the trace file (SwyxIt!-xxxx-xxxx.log in temp folder).

Hi Marcus,

sadly your advice did not work. Today I had the exact same problem on a completely fresh installed System (Win7 Pro, x64, SP1, german). There was never another P250 attached or even an old SwyxIt version installed. I've uninstalled 2011 R2 and installed 2011... without a reboot the P250 is fully usable.

Kind regards,

     Timo
